Procedure:
1. Chosen participants heard a story called "The War of the Ghosts" and had to tell it to another person and so on
2. When they were told to recount the detail of the story, each peson told it in a different way, more specifically, in their own personal way
3. When repeating the story, each time it became shorter and shorter because of the connections that each participant found with their life
Findings:
1. Memory is not exact and it is manipulated by the existing schemas
2. Each one of us build our memories to conform to our personal beliefs about the world
3. We can say that memories are 'photographic' records of events
4. Memories are recollections which have been shaped according to what we have lived in our whole life
